Day 2 OWOP

For my second version of the Jocole Quick Dress pattern I chose to make a woven. I used a black lace & a silky polyester from my stash. I made a scoop in front & back, with the yoke on both & extended sleeves. I cut on the hip length line.

I mistakenly didn't to a fba, silly me. I graded the top out to a xl at the yoke & large at the waist & hip. This gave me plenty of width but not enough length. Luckily the fabrics I chose have a decent drape otherwise this top would have been a wadder.

Although I wasn't totally happy with this top, I got a lot of compliments on it today at the fair. Go figure! Next time I make a woven I will do a fba & check the front length.
